OnePlus has started teasing the OnePlus 7 – seemingly confirming that it is coming real soon. OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the OnePlus 7 will be fast and smooth. Although the reveal doesn't exactly reveal anything substantial, since all OnePlus phones are generally fast and smooth, it does highlight one interesting tidbit. The OnePlus 7, or at least one of its variants, will have a curved glass design.
Rumour has it that the OnePlus 7 may have as many as three variants – a vanilla OnePlus 7, a OnePlus 7 Pro and a OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. The cryptic tweet that Pete has shared also points towards multiple OnePlus 7 variants – he is using a three-dot animation in the teaser. While it’s all speculative for now, serial tipster @ishanagarwal24 who has a good track record when it comes to leaking such info, has somehow managed to get his hands on the OnePlus 7 Pro hardware spec-sheet – the same tipster had recently claimed that OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 7 on May 14.
As per the details shared, the OnePlus 7 Pro will come with a Quad-HD+ resolution Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate – both of which will be a first for OnePlus. All OnePlus flagship phones have had full-HD+ screens with 60Hz refresh rate so far. The OnePlus 7 is further said to come with triple rear cameras – main + wide-angle + telephoto. Also said to be on the cards are 30W Warp charge, dual (stereo) speakers and USB 3.1 for data-syncing.
The OnePlus 7 Pro will reportedly come with a pop-up selfie camera like the Vivo V15 Pro.
The processor inside the OnePlus 7 (including the OnePlus 7 Pro/OnePlus 7 Pro 5G) will most likely be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. Details about the vanilla OnePlus 7 are scarce but it is said that it will come with a flatter bezel design, no pop-up selfie cam, and dual rear cameras.
